So sorry for the bad pics, but I didn’t have my camera on me when I came across this beautiful suitcase set. It’s a 3-piece set; suitcase, duffel, and small doctor’s bad, constructed of cowhide. I’m trying, but pictures do these NO JUSTICE. I don’t know what brand they are, but who cares. Luxury luggage is completely unnecessary, but these would be a great conversation starter in the window of a store, or at the foot of a King-sized bed. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these, and if you come across them definitely pick them up.
I really like looking at fashion shows of years past, and seeing what designs are still relevant today. I cam across the designer Alexandre Plokhov, and his line Cloak, in the documentary, Seamless. It detailed the process for young designers who were nominated for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award. Anyway, the collection that stood out to me was Fall ’06. There are so many pieces that can still be worn today; toggle coats, cardigans, leather M-65’s, interesting trench coats, and slim fit suits. Cloak is definitely high on the priority list when looking for brands.
Came across these at one of the best vintage spots for Menswear, I’ve ever been to; Bobby from Boston. If you haven’t been it’s a must; if you ever swing through. Anyway came across them for a great price; and they’ve become my go-to when wanting to dress-up a pair of selvedge jeans, or khakis. I took this pic while hanging with Darling, sooambitious.com, at the Pru. Other random pics below…
